Welcome to the strategies page! Here I will put some battle tactics for clan wars. If you have any suggestions, please put them on our forums.

Our clan's cape is the Team 46 Cape.

Here are some basic strategies that everyone should follow during a war.

* NEVER split up. If we are seperated, we are easier to defeat because we can be piled. If we stay together, we survive longer and can better pile our opponents. If someone you are fighting runs away, DO NOT FOLLOW THEM unless they mage or range. After the rest of our enemies are defeated, we can hunt them down. If you are dying, then do NOT run away, because while you are trying to escape, the enemy is getting free shots on you.

* It is generally a good idea to attack mages quickly before they can do much damage.

* Learn and take advantage of the combat triangle. Magic > Melle (unless Melle is wearing d-hide) Melle > Range, Range > Magic

* If you use melee, learn which attacks are strong against differant armors.
Crushing attacks are strong against plated armor.
Slashing attacks are powerful against leather and dragonhide.
Stabbing attacks are good against chain armor.

* Wear appropriate armor. Don't try to mage or range with a platebody. And don't try to melee with no armor.

* Do not try to be a hero and crush the opposing clan all by yourself. You won't succeed. Even if you do, I won't be happy.

* Listen to the Captain's commands. If we you don't follow orders, then you are weakening the whole clan.

During clan wars, things can get very chaotic. To keep our clan an effective fighting machine, Captains may call commands to other clan members.

A command will be typed after the = character. For example, if a Captain typed "= retreat to the southwest corner" then ALL clan members SHOULD obey. Even if a command sounds incredibly ridiculous or just plain stupid. If you abuse this power, you will lose your rank as a Captain.

If you are not a Captain, you shouldn't call commands unless the captain is completely incompetent or there is no captain present. However, you can still give ideas and call for help or whatever else you might want to say in the clan chat.

Here are some common strategies that we use during clan wars. Captains should determine what strategy to use, if any.

Defensive strategies - the main idea of these is to fight the enemy when they are split up, allowing us to slowly take them out.

Guerilla Warfare
This strategy should only be called before the wall in the center of the arena dissapears and the war begins. It works well against unorganized clans. Everyone hides in the same place (usually a corner) and then we wander around or wait for the enemy to find us. When someone comes by, everyone piles him together. NEVER split up when using this strategy, or you will defeat the purpose of it. The general idea is to pick off the enemy when they split up to search for us, and crush them seperately so we can't be piled. We want to kill them individually before they all find us. By that time, hopefully we won't be as badly outnumbered as when the war began.

Death Dot
A death dot (d-dot) is when everyone stands on the same space.  This way, it looks like there is only 1 person there.  When the enemy rushes in, we pile and destroy him.

Offensive stategies - the idea of these is to take out the enemy is the most efficiant way possible

Piling
Most people already know what a pile is, but don't value the importance of it.  Piling is an effective way of quicky eleminating an opponent.  If EVERYONE joins the pile, it will increase our chance of survival.  This mean, if you are being attacked by someone (not the person we are piling), you should ignore it and continue piling our target - it will make the target die quicker, allowing us, overall, to take less damage, as we take them quicker than if we were attacking random opponents.
So if the leader tells everyone to pile someone, he means EVERYONE join the pile.  The only time a pile should break is if the pilers are all melee fighters and an enemy mage starts attacking. (mages are extremely dangerous towards melee fighters)  If another melee or ranger comes out though, you should ignore him until he becomes the target of the pile.

Here are some ideas for good some warriors. Don't forget, in clan wars you can switch your armor during battle. If you have any suggestions, please post them on our forums.

Standard Warrior Full Rune or strongest possible armor for your level with a battleaxe, team cape, and an amulet of power. Also boots and dragonhide vambraces if you can wield them, otherwise leather vambraces. A power ammy is undisputedly the best amulet that you can have, unless you're maging. A Battle Axe is probably the best weapon you can have because it has a powerful crush and slash attack, which can seriously damage most other players.

Standard Ranger Full Dragonhide or best possible ranger armor with best wieldable shortbow and best wieldable arrows. Also, an Amulet of Power and the Team Cape.

Standard Mage Full set of best wieldable Wizard Robes (preferably a dark color, or black if f2p) with an appropriate staff depending on which spells you plan on casting. Also, the Team Cape, boots, any gloves (not vambraces), and an Amulet of Magic.

Support Mage Full set of best wieldable Wizard Robes (preferably a dark color, or black if f2p) with an air staff. Also, the Team Cape, boots, any gloves (not vambraces), and an Amulet of Magic. Bring lots of earth, water, body, and nature runes to perform curses and bind. During battle, bind our opponents so other clan members can pile without taking much damage, then use defense-weakening curses so the enemy dies quicker. Support mages rarely use damage-dealing spells. Instead, they freeze and weaken as many people as possible so our warriors can blast them away.
